About Me

Colourstrings Queen's Park Music Classes are lead by Suzanne Greenlees, a musician, early years music leader and violin tutor.

Suzanne graduated with a BA Honours in Commercial Music in 2005 and went on to complete an ABRSM Diploma in Violin Performance before training in Colourstrings Music Kindergarten and Violin tuition.

She is a fully qualified Colourstrings Kindergarten Teacher (Levels 1 and 2) and has been leading Colourstrings classes in Glasgow since 2012.  Prior to this she spent 2 years assisting in various Colourstrings classes in the city and worked as an early years music leader in Glasgow nurseries as part of Glasgow Life's Little People Big Voices project.

Suzanne divides her time between running her own violin teaching practice (Silver Strings Violin Tuition), leading Colourstrings and Early Years music classes and working as an instrumental instructor with North Ayrshire Council.   She has worked as a deputy tutor in the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland's Early Years Department and previously worked as an upper strings tutor in its Musicworks outreach programme.  She has spent over 10 years playing with Furory Ceilidh Band and continues to enjoy playing regular gigs with them.

Suzanne has a PVG certificate, public liability insurance and has completed a paediatric first aid course with the Red Cross.

Colourstrings Assistant
We are very lucky to have Grace Dale as our class assistant. Grace graduated with a first class honours degree in Music and Communities from the University of Aberdeen.  She now works as a freelance musician in Glasgow and plays piano, clarinet, guitar and loves to sing.  Grace founded and continues to run a choir in Aberdeen for the homeless community.  She accompanies various other choirs including the John Lewis Workplace choir and runs her own piano teaching practice teaching students of all ages.
